There are three things that Finn hates about working at Sheets N Things: how big it is, how crowded it is, and Sandy Ryerson.
He’s pretty sure the man likes him or something, but that’s not the problem. Mr. Ryerson just causes so many problems when he comes in, and he comes in all the time.
Puck usually runs off whenever he hears Sandy bellow out for Howard or one of them ("apron boys," he calls them) and Howard always looks like he’s going to pass out when he hears him, so Finn is left with Sandy. All the time.
Because, really, the man is redecorating his house every week, so he comes in at least every other day for one thing or another.
This week, his living room is an indoor garden. Floral prints everywhere, he tells Finn, and he needs ten throw pillows with five different flowers on each, in green. They only have pillows with three flowers on them, in gray.
"Wrong answer," Sandy tells him every time.
It wasn’t what he wanted -- he wanted something that almost made you smell the fragrance in the breeze, so Puck tossed him a bottle of room spray on his way by.
Last week his bedroom was decorated as a tribute to Cabaret. Finn was just lost on that one. All he knows is that the man wanted an obscene amount of tassels, ruffles and black satin.
The problem with Sandy is that he’s the best customer at the store, and he’ll end up buying hundreds of dollars of stuff even if it’s not his first choice, but he puts up a fight. If he wants light blue, he will find baby blue offensive.
Finn had no idea there were so many colors until this job.
But as bad as Sandy is, sale days are the worst. Of course, Sandy is usually the problem then, too.

"Get me one of those, those CDs with just the instruments!" Finn yells at Puck over the chatter.
It had all been fine until Sandy walked in, later to a sale than ever before, and rushed over to the comforters. He glanced over the selection and started yelling about too much sateen and not enough chenille. Then he gasped and ran to the bathroom section and pushed a lady out of the way while grabbing a handful of towels with umbrellas on them. "Singin’ in the Rain bathroom!"
Finn was, honestly, a little scared. He rarely knows what Puck’s thinking, but he looked a little afraid himself.
It just went from there, with Sandy running from one place to another and knocking women into displays, pulling Howard along with him.
Now, the place is chaotic. There’s screaming (mostly coming from the man in question), Terri ran off for her nerve pills an hour ago, Puck lost his shirt, and Howard is cowering in a corner somewhere.
Slashing the tires on the Vocal Adrenaline Range Rovers was the worst decision he ever made.
Finn glares at Puck with that thought and receives an eye roll in return. But he knows he’s thinking the same thing.
